The HandAxe weighs only 12.5 oz and is 12" in length with a blade length of 3 5/8" and a cutting edge of 4.75". The blade and tang are made of 1/8" thick, 420 cutlery grade stainless steel with a hardness of 52/53 Rockwell. The tang extends down _ the length of the handle see picture. The blade is easily sharpened using conventional methods. The handle on the HandAxe is textured for a positive grip and is made from virtually unbreakable fiber-reinforced polystyrene.
